We’re at the point with social distancing where every trip to the kitchen feels like we’re heading into a cooking competition.

No longer satisfied with the same meals on rotation (pesto pasta anyone?), we’re all trying new recipes to impress our friends and one-up each other on Instagram.

And if you’re ready to take your cooking skills to the next level, you’re in luck, as the Four Seasons Bahrain Bay is set to launch a series of virtual culinary masterclasses.

This June, chefs from the top hotel will be showing you how to make dishes from across the globe over Facebook and IGTV.

First up on Thursday June 4, Bahraini Chef Lulwa Sowaileh will be showing you how to make seafood ramen from scratch - including the dashi soup broth.

Then on June 11, Executive Pastry Chef Imad Boukli will be demonstrating how to make the perfect goat’s cheese kunafa with pistachio.

Executive Chef Hyung Kim will be heading to the kitchen on June 18, showing you how to make the mushroom panzanella on offer at the Bay View Lounge.

The entirely plant-based dish uses mostly local and sustainably sourced ingredients.

Kim said, “I hope to share the special stories around the food journey from the farm to the plate and highlight what truly makes our plant-based menus exceptional: superb local suppliers and produce.”

Last, but definitely not least, Wolfgang Puck’s Executive Chef Brian Becher will be showing you how to make Kaiserschmarren, or the “emperor’s mess” dessert, on June 25.
