What’s the most exciting thing about being a chef in Bahrain?

The most exciting thing about being a chef in Bahrain is the supporting community, both within the culinary field and beyond because Bahrain is a small island there’s a strong sense of camaraderie among chefs and restaurateurs here. This environment makes it easier to connect with others and build relationships.

Additionally, with fewer competitors, there’s a unique opportunity to stand out and make a name for yourself while still fostering a spirit of collaboration.

It’s truly inspiring to be part of a community that encourages creativity and celebrates each other’s successes.

Which SOUL dishes do people love the most? Why do you think so?

The Buttermilk is an all-time favourite for our SOULERS!

This is because it’s simple yet bursting with flavours.

Which one do you love the most? Why?

Definitely, The Korean-Nashville burger… Which I proudly invented.

I love its unique flavour profile – the kick of spice from the gochugaru, the umami blend from the soy mayo & cheese, the fresh crunch of the cucumbers, and the sweet after taste.

What was the first dish you ever served at SOUL? Is it still on the menu?

Asian Chicken Strips was the first ever dish added to SOUL’s menu. And no, we no longer serve it.

What’s your secret ingredient that makes any dish better?

Chicken stock takes every dish to a next level.

What’s the most memorable meal you’ve ever prepared?

Creamy chicken & mashed potatoes casserole.

I love designing logos and spaces.

Take baby steps towards your dream, you’ll learn along the way and will eventually get there.
