Free eVisas granted to Bahrainis travelling to St Petersburg

Ask any seasoned traveller what’s on their bucket list, and Russia is almost certainly going to be on there.

From the colourful domes of the Church of the Savior on Blood and the fountains of the Peterhof Palace, to Cossack dancing and Russian beverages, there’s plenty to see and do.

And now Bahrainis can save money on their trip by applying for a free eVisa for a visit to St Petersburg or the Leningrad region in the Far East of the vast country from October 1.

The application takes less than an hour, and visitors will be allowed to stay in the country for up to eight days.

Unfortunately, the visa is not valid for tourists travelling via the railway, but it is accepted at Pulkovo Airport and the passenger port at St Petersburg. It is also valid at six airports in the Leningrad region.

Bahrain is one of 53 countries who can get the free eVisa, including the EU member states, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
