Low-cost airline to launch direct flights between Muscat and Bahrain

SalamAir is set to launch direct flights between Muscat and Bahrain from November.

The low-cost airline, which is based in Oman, will fly between the two destinations on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays starting on Thursday November 14.

Flights will depart Muscat at 7.05pm (GST) and arriving in Bahrain at 7.50pm (AST). The return journey will leave Bahrain at 8.35pm (AST), and arrive back in Muscat at 11.10pm (GST).

Then in December, flights will run every day between Saturday and Thursday.

SalamAir CEO Captain Mohamed Ahmed told Arabian Business, “In keeping with the growing demand from our guests for seamless connections between Oman and Bahrain, we are delighted to launch this new destination.

“Flying to Bahrain is an important development, considering there is a lot of family connections, along with it being a popular destination of interest for leisure and business travellers.”

He added, “We see great potential in expanding our connections to Bahrain, further bolstering the extensive cultural, business and tourism links between Oman and other GCC countries.”

The new destination means that SalamAir now flies to every GCC country.
