Dubai’s Emirates Airlines now taking bookings for flights to Bahrain

From Monday July 1 Dubai’s Emirates airline will be taking bookings for flights from Dubai to 12 Arab countries - including Bahrain.

Other destinations include Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.

Speaking to Arabian Business, a spokesperson for Emirates said: “Currently some of our flights are available for booking starting July 1; however, the situation still remains dynamic and these flight services could be subject to change, We aim to provide our customers with as much notice as possible should there be any changes.

"We hope to resume services as soon as conditions allow. This includes receiving government approvals, the easing of travel restrictions and commercial demand.”

The news comes after it was announced that Gulf Air would be resuming its flights to Bahrain from Pakistan earlier this week.

Flights are now available from Karachi, Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and Islamabad in Pakistan.

Currently, only residents, citizens, transit passengers and those with a letter of prior permission can use Bahrain International Airport.
